Respect is something difficult to earn but very easy to lose [especially at work]!

Today, I was walking in the factory I work in the company of one of my girlfriends. Suddenly, I see a work colleague with two of his pals coming towards us. I was not holding hands with my girl. He then totally unexpectedly stands right in front of me. I then stepped to the left, and he then stepped to the left; I stepped to the right, and he stepped to the right. Eventually, he stopped this and I resumed moving ahead. He then went towards my girl, grabbed her by her shoulders and kissed her cheek. He and his two buddies then had a good laugh out of me.

Since I was caught completely off guard, after all we were all at work (I would have never expected that something like that could happen) I did not react at all – pretended that the whole incident was trivial and ignored it not to lose more value with my girl.

However, me and my girl, we both know this guy for a long time – and being work colleagues - I could have never imagined that he would pull out something like this. Of course, I should know better and be always prepared.

The perception of my girl, as she told me right after was that “he did that simply to annoy me”. What about her perception?

And knowing that we will constantly meet and that he was successful this single time, I imagine that the behavior was reinforced by his success and that he will eventually try again – perhaps something else.
I am only asking a question to this forum because I will frequently meet him again – and we work together – any special recommendations? By the way, he is at the same hierarchical level as myself.

What should I have done in that incident?

What should I do if something similar happens again?

Copied and pasted this from a post I have on our site lol this is some good advice for dealing with AMOGs

1. Blow him out- Make him look like an idiot. Every shot he takes at you, take it to an extreme.
(example: “NICE SHIRT FAG!” “Thanks man! I actually have another one in blue too! I’m glad you approve!”)
Say that with a stupid, cocky, arrogant smirk on your face and watch the girl become more attracted to you. Remember, it is not about the spot light in the bar… it is the audience. Losing your frame to someone who throws a shot at you is a beta move.

2. Befriend Him- Direct your conversation towards him. Get his attention and teach him something. Explain something to him and allow your target to hear the conversation (not necessarily get her involved.. You want to ultimately get rid of him.) Demonstrating that you are able to make friends with even someone who is trying to make your value appear less will put your targets attraction THROUGH THE FUCKING CEILING. By teaching him something or involving him in YOUR conversation, you are demonstrating your social intuition and your inner confidence by taking authority over his actions while maintaining control of your own.

3. Ignore Him- The straight up, rockstar mentality. This, in my opinion, is the most effective way to show that you truly are the leader of fucking men. Act as if you are smoke and each shot he throws at you is just a rock that passes straight through. What is REALLY cool about this technique… If you maintain eye contact with your target and continue the conversation as if he doesn’t exist, she will sense your strong frame and you can FEEL that emotion coming from her.

Bottom line… Dealing with other dudes all comes down to frame control. How you want to handle him really is based on the scenario and current mood.
