Direct game has quite an appeal to me. I've tried direct game in the past but had never yet tried the Apocalypse opener. After reading more about it lately I decided I should give it a go. Here are the results of last night's efforts...

Entered the club and started to look out for lone wolf targets. Eventually I spotted a girl sitting by herself outside smoking. I prepped myself mentally somewhat and then went ahead and approached and did the routine for the first time.

Me: Hey, how's it going? (sat beside her).
Her: (can't remember exactly what she said)
Me: What are you doing later?
Her: Going to bed, had a big day.
Me: Do you want to come home with me?
Her: (without pause) No thanks.
Me: Okay, that's fine. What did you do today?

I engaged with conversation with her a bit more until she got up to back inside. As she did, she wished me a good night and gave me a pat on the shoulder.

Went back inside and looked for another lone wolf. Eventually took a walk around to the other section of the club and found a chick sitting by herself in a booth.

Me: Hey, how's it going? (sat beside her).
(usual routine)
Me: Do you want to come home with me?
Her: (without pause) No.
Me: Okay.
Her: Could you get away from me now?
Me: Yep.
Her: I have a boyfriend.
Her: Thank you. Cool. (gave her a thumb up and got up kind of slowly to savor her slight rudeness. Felt her friends coming up from behind - got out in time. )

Looked around but had trouble finding more lone wolfs. Eventually considered trying out the routine with the girl taking the club entry fees. Sat and waited until she was alone and then went ahead.

Me: Hey
Her: Hi
Me: How's it going?
Her: Good, maybe a little tired and you?
Me: Yeah not bad. What you doing later?
Her: (can't remember, something about going to sleep)
Me: Do you want to come home with me?
Her: (without pause) No thanks, I've got to go to a christening tomorrow morning.
Me: Oh okay, who's christening?

We talked for a few minutes, with me standing aside whenever a customer would enter. She was a talkative girl and there wasn't any awkwardness in the conversation. During the conversation I thought of asking whether she was sure she didn't want to go home with me and doing so after a certain amount of time lapsed. However, eventually one of bouncers came in and started talking to her so I decided to vacate from her presence (and from that point on her shift pretty much ended).

Went back in to the main bit of the club and stood in my usual spot. There was a chick standing by herself in front of me - nice and convenient.

Me: Hey, how's it going? (she just replied by putting her thumb up - I kind of hate it when chicks give a non-verbal response)
Me: What you doing later?
Her: Sorry? (ah - she speaks!)
Me: What you doing later? (she just gives the thumbs again. Did she not hear me right?)

I decided to eject. As soon as I did I was kicking myself though. The way she was standing there it looked like she could be the type of chick that's open to this kind of game. I thought about re-initiating contact with her. As I was prepping myself to do so another dude came in and spoke to her briefly. Then not longer after another dude appeared to try to initiate conversation with her. Holy shit, men are trying to pick her up like scavenger birds. I seriously thought at this point that if I did the opener on her she would be mine.

Before I managed to do anything, another dude (maybe the same first dude) spoke to her across the balustrade thing. He motioned with his finger for her to come and join him on the dance floor, he also made the body gestures of asking why she wasn't on the dance floor (like why don't you want to have fun?). With a little hesitation on her part at first, she went around up to him and immediately started sucking his face. Was this dude her boyfriend or was it a player who just got a K-close? Whatever the deal was, my heart sank as I watched them making out what with the feeling that possibly that could have been me in his place.

I watched them kiss for a little while getting a taste of what it must feel like for a girl to jump on one, but I quickly moved on looking for another target. I saw one chick sitting in a booth with her feet up. I couldn't sit beside her though as her feet and a couple of guys were blocking bother entrances to the booth. I let that potential target go and decided to call it a night.

Overall, I was quite satisfied with my progress for the night. AA was minimal and I had a good conversation with the hot chick at the entrance.

In the morning I was home alone as the parents had gone out. I decided to quickly get ready and go out and try to pick up a chick to bring back and fuck before they get home. A very nice day weather wise to do so.

I went into town, parked the car, and sat and waited for lone wolf targets to come up in and around the area with all the bus stops. Eventually quite a fashionably dressed chick in large sunglasses walked past me and sat down a few seats down. I got up, prepped myself somewhat (re: hesitate), and then approached.

Me: How's it going? (sat down beside her)
Her: Good.
Me: What are you doing later?
Her: Going into the city (to do something or other)
Me: Do you want to come home with me? (I tried to draw the line out a little bit this time, hoped that there would be a moment of silence but no...)
Her: No thanks.
Me: Okay (I gave a bit of a laugh here to try to ease the potential feeling of sleaziness - and immediately shifted the topic as if it were nothing - which it pretty much ended up feeling like)
Me: It's a nice day today isn't it?.

We had a nice conversation. Turns out she was a backpacker type from Ireland visiting Australia - hot damn! After only a few minutes though her bus came and she immediately got up to catch it. (fucking outside variables!). Got up and decided to quit playing for now.

To sum up, I'm quite surprised that I got a couple of good quality interactions using this opener. I don't have a lot of experience talking to women (hence why direct game has a strong appeal to me as you can get lucky without a lot of chit chat) so the fact that the routine is getting me to have quite good chats so far is enough to make me put it down in my good books.

I'm a little disappointed though that popping the question of 'do you want to come home with?' doesn't really seem like a big event. I've gotten no moments of silence out of it so far or any strong reactions from 'test subjects' - apart from slight annoyance of the girl who told me to go away. I did get minor WTF responses though, especially from the bus stop girl hence why I gave a slight chuckle to me-and-my-brashness afterwards. There was no WTFness from the entry fee girl though. She gave no indication of the question being but the most normal thing to ask in the world.

I think I do a good job of saying the line 'Do you want to come home with me?' like I'm just asking 'Do you know the time?'. Maybe I'm asking it too casually for it to have an effect?
