I was at the mall and I seen this gorgeous woman working in a beauty supply store. She's an employee so she was pretty busy and another employee was helping her as well. I decided to approach her anyway. As I approached her I realized she had a ring on her finger, I pretended I did not notice it. I lightly grabbed her arm to get her attention, smiled and asked her to help me find some shampoo. (I basically did it to go in aisle away from everyone else) So she started asking me what type of shampoo I was looking for. I said I did not know and I basically played dumb, playing a little game with her to help me decide a shampoo as we continued walking towards the aisle. As we were walking I told her that I wasn't serious about the shampoo I was just saying that to basically give us some room to speak. I said to her I seen you were busy and I just wanted to let you know that I think your cute and we should go out for some coffee sometime. The whole time she was smiling and giving flirtaeous looks till I brought up the idea of dating. She then told me that she is married showed me the ring and stated she been married for 4 years. After that the conversation was pretty much over just basically finished up and left.

The question is did I do the right thing by quiting?
She was giving me flirtaeous looks, and letting me invade her personal space as I was standing pretty close to her without her showing any signs of disconfort. Why did she let me do all this she clearly knew the message I was sending her?

girls like attention, they like to be reassured they can still attract guys. This happens all the time, if a girl tells you shes married you probably should move on.
