Hey guys, first time poster, thought id put out what I think was a fuckup, but am not sure.

Story goes that I met a girl out of town, turns out shes from same town as me. Because I work in the mines, it was about a week and a half till I could organise time to hang out, and due to uni commitments, I chose lunch at a cafe on the river.

It all seemed to go alright, we chatted about each other and work and just general chitchat, and i ran the cube on her. She seems to be pretty sraightforward and logical, but was hard to crack and I kept getting the feeling I wasnt quite making it with her.

Anyways ended up parting ways at the end, pretty anti-climatic. I get the feeling that since I didnt have any kino techniques up my sleeve that i was confident in, and since she was hot and cold and throwing weird signals all over the place, I had no in for a kiss close that wouldnt have been really awkward.

I messaged her afterwards with a standard 'cheers for a good time' text, and she msgd back twice, showing that shes keen for another date. Since im out on site this week, im going to have to spend most of it trying to escalate over the phone, which isnt my strong point. Im not worried if I dont make it with her, but it would be good as my first real go at concious pickup. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated
