| This was the first time I have ever attempted this, and even though it didn't end the way I wanted it to, it could have gone a lot worse:
I've been studying and reading up on the art of the PUA for about 2 months now. I was introduced to "The Game" just recently by my lifting partner and am still currently reading it. Throughout the reading, I discovered that there were forums, like this one, and so I have just recently joined this a few weeks ago to study more tips and tricks. Last night I went out to the local bar with my friend (who I also introduced all of this too once we were back for summer) and we were really excited to try out some new skills. Here is how it went:
As we sat at the booth we spotted a 2-set, one HB9 and her friend, a total grenade. We decided this would be our first move. However, the 3-sec rule failed as some guy approach the HB and hovered around her area for 10-15 mins. We could tell she was taking no interest in him (he may have also been gay, still not sure) so I let my ego get the best of me and decided to approach anyways, knowing that I could steal their attention.
Although, by this time, another obstacle had gotten in my way. Another girl, pretty average but still cute, approach them from the right side, also cutting off my access point. I decided I was still going to intervene anyways. I approach the grenade and the average girl and used the roommate opener (my friend and his ex live together, she brings guys back, how do you feel about the situation, etc.) The grenade immediately started a convo with me and a few seconds later, her friend, the HB wanted to see what I was going on about and she jumped into it as well. I threw out a small neg at this point about her cutting in and went right back to retelling the story. They both went on and on about how they felt, but the HB kept jumping back and forth between my convo and one with someone else, so I knew I didn't have her full attention. Luckily, an old classmate of mine showed up and kept begging me to take a shot with him, so after I told the story and got a convo going, I used him to excuse myself and left them, but not before giving the grenade a compliment that I hoped her friend either heard or would eventually tell her. I thought I had blew it until I looked back to my table.
Remember that other friend, the average looking girl? Well during my roommate story I pointed to my buddy at the table and she immediately went over and started talking to him about the situation. I thought, hey there may be hope yet, so I sat down and started a convo with her as well. I gotta say, at this point I was on a roll. My wingman even complimented on how well I carried myself. I was twice as witty as the girl and could make her laugh, while everything she said I turned around to make it seem like she was complimenting me or how awesome I am. By this time, the HB from the bar kept looking in our direction at us and her friend. I think it was a perfect time to open to her now that she was sitting alone, but I wanted to work on the average girl a little bit longer. Everything was going perfect and as I was about to try the 5-question game on her when my classmate, the one who bought me shots, came over with his friends and grabbed all of us from the booth to take a smoke break. We all went outside and she saw some of her friends and started to hang out with them. I let it go showing no interests and as we were walking back in, I whispered to her, "let me know when you're ready to lose that game." and walked away.
Sadly, we couldnt stay much longer, so I never did run back into her. So, what do you guys think? How did I handle my first ever attempt?
