| Hi all,
I'm completely new to the game and have been practicing openers and midgame gambits infield during the past 2 weeks. The following is a small observation on my part. Correct me if I'm wrong but would seem there are minor variations to how its done in my home country Malaysia. This is probably due to cultural differences between european and western countries, as well as language barriers. We are a country in southeast asia, just below Thailand.
Openers
-Avoid going for the standard openers such as "a quick question" as there are too many chances for this to go wrong. Despite English literacy being relatively high compared to our neighboring countries, some women may not understand you. Instead, with drink in hand, try to briskly walk round the club and observe which sets are english educated. Something I found works best is to go for a natural approach with non-verbal cues before going in gung ho.. but obviously don't take too long as well. If she picks up on it, you're definitely going to lower your DHV.
- Don't make your openers too complex. Be direct. Due to cultural barriers, they may not understand your question. Avoid negs. For example, despite being educated, most locals will misunderstand questions like "What have you got going for you beside your looks?" and will probably take it as a complete insult and shut you out instantly. At best, you'll get a big frown and a "HUH?!"
Midgame
-If you're going for tongue in cheek flirts, make it slightly more exaggerated. Only a small percentage of women here seem to understand subtler tongue in cheek comments and might take you seriously. Just add a little exaggerated "HAHA" behind your attempt and it should work alright. Once again, make it direct instead of complex.
-Despite all the cultural and language barriers, Kino escalation is a lot more subtle and slower. All the usual hints of IOIs would be there of course. Just a lot more subtle so you'll have to be extra alert to pick up on it. This is probably due to us being a very conservative country in general. The exception is that tourist pubs and clubs are different compared to the local joints. Stealth attraction works VERY well, but don't go overboard. Be very very subtle about it. Smooth works. Aggresive not so much.
I figure thats all I have to say for this time. Will update on it as I learn more.
Btw, do give me a holla if any of you guys are in Kuala Lumpur. Would love to see how experienced PUAs would do it.
Cheers!
