Welcome to my 30-Day DAY GAME JOURNAL!

For the next 30-days I've made the personal commitment to doing ONE Day Game approach per day.

Date: Monday, 30th Jan.


Location: Coogee Beach

Time: 8:25pm

Target Two girls seated on the benches, chatting.

My Opener: "Excuse me, are you guys speaking Spanish?"


GIRLS: "No, we are speaking Russian"

ME: "Oh, I was walking past and I thought you were speaking Spanish, and I want to learn Spanish, so I came and asked you"

(It's always important to provide CONTEXT. Or a REASON for coming over and talking to them. Otherwise some girls will think you are weird).

GIRL 1: "Some people think I look Spanish. I have heard this before".

GIRL 2: "What are you doing now?"

ME: "Oh, I was just on the phone to my friend"

(Again, she wants to know WHY I'm talking to them. She wasn't skeptical. Just curious. Wanting to get into rapport. Know about me. Again it's important to provide CONTEXT about why you're approaching them. I explain to her I was on the phone. It also shows I have friends. I'm not some creepy loner!)

The next 10 minutes we talked about traveling ... the difference in Russian and Australian cultures, stereotypes of both countries.

CONNECTION: I connected with one girl, who lives nearby me, and is a local. She wants to live in NYC. I told her I am moving to NYC in April. She was interested.

CLOSE: "Ok, I gotta go have dinner now. But before I do, I'm going to be forward and suggest that we go for coffee in Coogee sometime"

GIRL 2: (looks at Girl 1) - this may be an indicator of low self-esteem. Not believing that I am asking her.

GIRL 1: He is asking YOU.

GIRL 2: Oh, OK. Yes, we can.

ME: (I sit down next to her, hand her my phone. She enters her number. I joke a bit more about her iPhone being old. And mine being the new 4S.)
