This is my first field report so I am not exactly sure how it goes but I am just going to do my best.

I went out with a friend to a frat party. I have read quite a bit of material so it was time to finally put it to the test. The only problem was most of the stuff on here, and in "The Game" etc. doesnt seem to quite comply with college game. However, Most of the things I have learned have really lead to one conclusion which is be confident. So, I walked in with a smile on my face ready to go.

It took a little while to get the balls to approach a set, but my friend/wing knew quite a few girls. We started off talking to the girls we had a reason to approach and building our confidence from there. I met many good looking girls out of this but didn't really game them at all.

Eventually we moved onto girls we didn't know. While my wing was talking to someone I approached a two set and got shut out immediately. That didn't matter though because I was actually proud of myself for doing my first legitimate cold approach. My friend and I met back up and decided to open with the floss before or after brushing opener. The first set I approached was a 3 set. I made eye-contact with an HB 8 and while I was approaching 3 more girls came into the set and blocked me out. After making the eye-contact it would have been extremely awkward to have not said anything, so I gently moved two girls out of the way and opened. The girl I initially made eye-contact with isolated herself immediately while I tried to engage the whole set. She actually seemed to really like the question and answered it very enthusiastically. I didn't quite know where to go from there so I acted as if I had the opposite opinion then she said "no, that's wrong haha." I then asked if she was in dental school as a joke and then asked her what her name and major was. I tried to be interesting with my response to her major by telling her "that was pretty far off from dental school." She told me her name and shook my hand and I could tell she wasn't really engaged enough to move to the next stage of game (also I was not very prepared to escalate in any way haha). We opened a few more sets the same way with lesser results. One of the sets we approached was a two set that was recently disengaged from another guy and looking confused/bored. Immediately we didn't grab their attention at all from the opener. They started looking around and drifting away so we left the set.

We talked to one of the girls that my friend knew again and my friend got her number. We both hugged her and told her bye/it was nice meeting you and we ended the night.

All and all, I would say this was a very successful night. I had a lot of confidence after opening sets and really, just had a good time. However, I am definitely far from my goal and will appreciate any advice/criticism on my game.
