Okay just dropping my quick 2 cents as an intermediate in this field. When I started pickup my fear was a woman rejecting me in a humiliating fashion and id be embarrased by everyone in the venue and my social circle.
Truth is ive opened over 200++ sets now and I have only once been told very loudly by a girl that she had a boyfriend and just wanted to have a good time with her friends. You see, opening with a simply "hey whats up guys" or a "hey im ____" will probably not get you rejected. Sure it might not go anywhere but it wont get you rejected.
Once your comfortable approaching like this, start attempting stuff that may get you actually rejected such as "the claw" or heavy kino right off the bat. This is how I slowly desensitized myself to rejection.
Once again, critisizm or feedback is welcome
