Alright well here's the quick story. I went out to a few bars to just talk to random strangers and help with my AA. I get a text while at a bar saying that a friend is having a house party and that I should come. So I decide to go and my friend who invited me isnt there yet but her roommate lets me in. I immediately introduce myself to everyone. There are three girls and four guys. I start talking with the guys and am being a little louder then they are but I realize the attention of everything is on me. This continues for awhile the girls are giving me a lot of attention so on and so forth. Well thats just it, it just kept going on laughing at jokes and stuff like that. I never got them to come close to me so I could try some kino stuff. What did I do wrong with this? The girl who was my target was obviously interested in me yet I couldn't find an opportunity to escalate it. The guys were push overs at first, they were all jock looking guys pretty well built one looked like a toned down version of gambler was pretty funny. So after awhile I the three guys go out and its just me the three girls and another guy. We are all laughing and having a good time one of the other girls is giving me a lot of kino, when she laughs at my jokes she will brush her hand on my arm and that kind of stuff. Anyway well after the guys smoke they must have talked or something because after that I could not get a word in edgewise. They would talk over me even if I was talking really loud. Bumping infront of me, I would understand if it was one of them but they seemed to be working together to shut me out. After more talking and having fun I call it an early night. Sorry for blabbering on like this, but basically my questions are how do I make advancements on my target without coming off too desperate. Also how do I get around a group of guys who are trying to shut me out.
