im fine at opening.

on dates im great.

however, when i open i naturally just turn interviewy. this isnt an issue on dates, ly right now i feel like im wasting approaches doing this as i havent really improved in this aspect in quite some time.

so any suggestions on what to read?

Closed ended questions - questions that involve a yes, no or one where answer. I.E. Where do you work? Whats your name? How old are you? etc.

Open ended questions: Questions that set the stage for elaborate responses. I.E. What do you think about this idea I had.. What made you decide to go with those purple shoes today.. Why don't more people... etc.

Open ended questions will set the stage to get into more elaborate conversation.
