Seems like you sort of just went up to some girl and insulted her with the intention of teasing her. She got offended instead of finding the sense of humor behind it, you didn't notice she was upset and you continued teasing her when she was not feeling it and then it ended.
pumpington, I kind of agree with you. Her tonality suggested that she was a tiny bit pissed. But I continued coz these things have turned around in the past. But I think I overdid it when I said that she doesn't exercise, eats and drinks as she was on the curvy side. In my mind at that time, I said it thinking that she has already given negative comment[asking me to leave] and the best way to maintain the frame of me liking her but not liking her comment, would be to tease back playfully. Most likely, she didn't took it playfully.
So in these cases, when I want to maintain the frame of me liking her but not liking what she is doing and I am about to leave her, what would be the good comebacks? I think of following possibilities but do let me know if there are more.
1. A comeback statement with humor and tease light heartedly, about her. [For e.g., Me: I can say you are even scared of an insect, forget about killing me.]
2. A comeback statement with humor and confidence, about me. [For e.g., Me: I have killed 10 assassins who were against for me, you have negligible chance against me]
2. Go silent but be there, ignore the comment, and continue with something else as she said something stupid which is worth ignoring.
About the perceived insult I did, I think apologizing in a calm meaningful/playful manner will be sufficient.
