I was building comfort with the girl and I said to her 'I like her, and she would be my perfect gf'

She flinched.




Should I not show interest, I should go out disqualifying myself or what? Please help...

Why did you say it?

A woman is listening more to your tone and the emotions you're communicating through them than she is your exact words. Can't you tell a woman you hate her and make her smile as well as make her upset all depending on the tone? It is not the whats women are concerned with. It is the "How". How did you say it and why did you say it.. These are the variable men don't consider because we don't communicate this way. We say what we mean and mean what we say more often than not. How many of your male friends have you said "I hate you" to as a way of being playful? Probably none.
