Met chick on site and she actually works for another company at my site so it's kind of an awkard situation. Long story short, she found out we are from around the same area and now live in Cali. We text back and forth a good bit (almost too much) but we banter a ton and have fun texting. Lots of teasing.
So we make plans to get sushi. As soon as we made plans for it, I get off the text carriage just to make sure she maintains interest and I don't crowd her. Date day comes and she texts me first flaking. It was about 3 hours before the date. Saying she has Finals / HW (legit). So I neg her a little and the banter keeps coming back and we still talk to each other. We reschedule a date for this week.

Long story short, I don't know what to do next. I don't want to flake on her but, this chick is one of those "special" ones which I don't mind pursuing.

Any thoughts?

It depends if she texted back with a definite day to reschedule. If she didn't , then you're out. Move on, unless you want to be friends.
