I went on a date with a girl last night and it went extremely well (we were together for hours and she invited me back to her place at the end). Today she has done a complete 180 on me, and send me a 5 message text telling me how it was the most terrible, cheap date she has ever been on (we went to a park and watched the sun set)

My response: "I really took the time to find a place for us to go that I thought would be special and low pressure. You appeared to enjoy yourself last night so I don't really know what changed. I am sorry about the mosquito bites, but calling me a cheap date is incredibly rude and hurtful - you cannot talk to me like that"

To which she responds: "You were an extremely cheap date. Had you checked on google you would have found much better spots. I can talk to you how I choose. You are cheap!"

I still want this girl but she is being a complete bitch. How do I respond to this? I know I cannot let her walk over me but at the same time if I come back with a strongly worded enough reply she is just gonna leave. Need help finding a good balance.

First of all, OP... It wasn't a cheap date. A walk and watching the sunset will always beat a fancy dinner or movie. Besides being more romantic, it helps you escalate and ramp up attraction.

Second of all, why would you still want to be with her? You put effort into finding a good date, and you gave her your time. And that's the thank she has for you? That's her telling you to fuck off. In reality, you clearly failed to create attraction. Had you taken her on the same date and played your cards right, she wouldn't have been telling you all that crap.

Seriously you lost by reacting here. We need more details first of all, but you shouldn't even care about this if the date went well. How did it end up when you went to her place? Or did you go to her place at all?

Need more details. How much did you touch her, how much did you look into her eyes, did you hold hands, did you even attempt to kiss?

Honestly I don't think we need more details. While it's easy to blame the OP for failing to create action, I don't see how any situation could have called for her to react in such a way. She is quite obviously unstable and isn't worth any investment. The average girl would have simply ignored his texts.

Well without your help (I read this too late haha) I defused the situation.

To answer your questions in order:

Betamax: Because she is quite attractive. Could have done better, but I did play my cards reasonably well.

Traveler/Hunter: It wound up well. We were kissing for a good part of the night, lot of hand holding, touching, etc. She did not put out at her place but I wasn't expecting it.

Fury: I have never been called a cheap date before. I think she is a little crazy.

I was confused because after leaving that night she said she had an amazing time. The next day I get this text saying the complete opposite.

Now she's back to normal. She wants me to come back to her place again after our next date which is a good thing I guess?? She lives with her mom tho so it's kinda awkward

Just wanted to follow up on this old post of mine. You were right. This girl turned out to be bat shit insane. I diffused the situation after the first date and saw her again... second time went very well in person but the next day she texts me cussing me out because I teased her about not knowing how to open my car door from the inside... ahhh effin crazy!
