Hey everybody, new guy here. Been on a cold streak for a while.. But finally got my foot in the door with a pretty attractive girl. Here's the catch, I haven't really hung out/talked with her in about 2 years, she's an old hometown friend I reconnected with on facebook.

We were both really interested back when we first met, but the timing didn't work out.. Now we're both single. I just needed some advice on how to approach this situation.. so far this is what I have:

Me: Heyy, I know this is kinda random lol, but i heard that song "light my fire" and it made me think about you, but I lost your number.. How u been?

Her: Hahaha! Light my fireeee. Just school and work. How's about you?

Not 100% sure where to go from there. I know I'll tell her I've been doing good and all that, but I need help on keeping the flow of the conversation going..

I don't mess around with Facebook, I think it's stupid personally, and only created a profile because I lost some numbers and needed to get them. Should I try something like "I couldn't believe you were still on this lame site... I just came back to get in touch with you, so you oughta feel special haha ;)" or something along those lines?

Sorry if this seems like a total newbie question.. I just really want to get this girl, and honestly I think my game needs some work, haha. Appreciate any help guys

Definetly do not say this. First off you are puting down the site you/her and the whole world uses, she will be like wtf and might get defensive. And then you go on with that needy "I just came here because of you", in her mind she will be like "oh boy".

You havent seen/heard about her for whole 2 years, im sure you both have done a lot of great/imprsive stuff to talk about. Maybe something from the past that you can ask her about and then tease. She asked you a question, answer it, go on with that, be interesting to talk to and try to avoid these interview type of questions, be cocky/funny, not an ass tho.. Use statements and be playful.

For example you could say "Yeah, it was so loud I couldnt even hear my own voice! Just as I remeber you - (...) and loud . Im doing now xyz."

You also want to end the convo on high note and get her number before doing so by telling you´ll be busy with something and you two should meet for drink before you forget her face completely, for example.

Yeah, I looked over it again and thought that second part was sounding really needy. But I kept the whole part about how "facebook is lame" and she agreed with me..

I'm having trouble really escalating the convo though, it's just been us catching up with one another, up to this point.

Any ideas on how to subtly let her know my intent... it's hard for me to tell if she's just being nice by talking as a friend or if she's interested at all. How can I convey to her that I'm still interested and wanna hook up, without being too straightforward and scaring her off?

Even though it might be too late now, I think for next time you will need to DHV in a subtle way, just to build some attraction in there.

Since you guys have so much to catch up on, throw in some spikes in the conversation that suggest to her that you haven been having the time of your life. Bullshit if you havent done anything too interesting

Since you havent seen her in a long time, Im pretty sure youre not in any friendzone of hers. I too plan to see some very old friends (all HB9/10s) soon and cant wait to show them all the incredible stuff Ive been/havent been doing hahaha. (Just to reintroduce some attraction, then move forward)
