So this girl and I have been texting back and forth pretty much non stop for a week right. Yesterday she texts me first like usual and is replying quickly saying she is shopping etc... Then I reply and 5 hours later no reply. I send her a message saying "Damn you suck at texting today" an hour later she says "You're right , I do, My mom met me out shopping" Then that's it. I send her a message about an hour later saying "night" and no reply. This morning she texts me bright and early "Hey you!" like every thing is great. I realize her and I aren't exclusive so maybe I am just over thinking this but I know she had the time to reply i'm just wondering if she's just texting when she's bored.

By the way she sent me that "Hey you!" message about 2 hours ago and I haven't replied yet because i'm not sure it's worth it. Before this the past few days she's said stuff like "I'll cook you dinner soon , what's your favorite food?" So I mean it seemed like she was really into me until all the sudden this massive delay and no responses happened.

Don't over analyze texts or have expecations about how they should transpire. Also, don't critique her on her texting etiquite. Just send her the types of texts you want to send, or that you need to send, and respond based on the way she responds. If her responses are insufficient to the way you are trying to game her, then you need to change your method of communication to calling or face-to-face communications.

You can't rightfully say: "Hey, could you text me better that way I can more easily get the chance to hook up with you?"

Aaaand now she just sent me another text saying she's sorry she was a crappy texter and she was with her mom shopping then went out for drinks. So I think the whole me not replying thing has paid off.

Good advice thanks , I tend to over think too much that's for sure.
