Hi Guys.

I'm an AFC and i'm quite new in the game. Yesterday night was the first night, where i tried to use some routines and tactics, to pickup a girl.

So here is what happened:

A female friend of mine were celebrating her birthday in a club, and i arrived as one of the last with my friend. Already from the beginning i had in mind, that i should be the AMOG, i focused on my body language and in the beginning of the party, was i the one EVERYONE wanted to talk to. There was taken a lot of photoes with me having to girls on eachsite, i was social all the time, and surrounded by tree girls and my friend.

I could see i got a lot more attention from people i didn't even know. Both male and females.

I saw this HB8 checking her facebook and i was introduced to here a couple of minutes before.

I went up to her and we had a conversation like this:

PUA: Are you really that bored, that you need to check your facebook?
HB8: Haha yeah, it's boring.
PUA: Well then lets spice things up a bit. I have a little quiz, if you win, i'll buy you a drink, and if i win, you'll by me one.
(Then i did the 5 question game, and i busted her on question nr. 4, like most people do)
HB8: Haha, i can't believe i did that, i'm so stupid.
(At this point, i think she was totally hooked, she was entertained and only paying attention to me.) I tried to neg her:
PUA: Your eyes are pretty, are those linses?
HB8: Yes it is.
(Now i had absolutely no idea what to say. My mind kinda blacked out. And i was thinking about routines or a story to DHV, but i couldn't come up with anything. So i said:)
PUA: Do you always lie to men?
HB8: What do you mean?.
PUA: Well your not really that tall are you. (Pointed on her heels).
HB8: They are not big.
(I tried to bring the lying over to the Lie game routine. Where she had to come up with 5 things, and i could tell if she was lying. But when i told her to come up with the 5 things, where one of them should be a lie, she said. Naah that's boring.)

I lost her totally there, didn't know what to say and she said: I'm going to sit down, and i turned around and ejected.

I had some positive things about the night though. I didn't mind open up sets. I opened three sets of two sets. But in common was, that they were interessted in the opener and discussed it a bit, but after the opener, it completely died. i thanked for their help and ejected. (I would have opened more sets, but the music was so freaking loud. I had to yell realy much, so they could hear me, and that was crap.

What do you guys have to say. Where do you thing it went wrong. What should i have done and what can i improve?. I tried to focus a lot about my body language, but need to work a bit more with it. Everytime i opened a set, i set a false time constrain and it seemed to work.

I am AFC too and here is my opinion:

Routines can be a good start / gap filler. However, I focus on inner game and frame control. Thus I do not have to constantly think about my body language and things to say. I just go with the flow and enjoy myself.

I really need to improve my inner game. Because i just get stuck. I have no problems opening, i'm getting rid of my AA, and i don't really take it personal, if i get rejected.

But i need to build comfort and put some hooks in. So i can keep them interested in me and wanting me to stay there, when the opener or opnion opener are done.

I think you were trying too hard. Women who get hit on a lot can sniff out these so called routines unless you are real good and there's a chance they've heard a similar routine and knows it comes from a book so be careful. "do you always lie to men" and then pointing at her heels really didn't make a lot of logical sense. The moment you don't make sense, unless she's really in to you , you are probably done. Heels and falsely elevating her height has nothing to do with lying , I guess that's where you were going with it.

Sometimes if I don't have a lot to talk about and get stuck and she's not talking, I find something they are wearing and talk about it. With heels, you have some built in pieces you can talk about. If shes somewhat in to you, you will be safe asking something generic like, "do you like walking in those" are those comfortable", do you ever take those off at the end of the night to walk to your car (a lot of women do that), did you get those at _____ store. I seen a girl last night lose her balance and hit the floor" "i seen a girl the other night get her heel stuck" IF your question doesn't float the conversation you can make a statement about heels. my opinion is something more natural is likely going to get you further than your routine you read in a book and most of them like talking fashion.

But go with what you feel more comfortable with.

I don't know why, but i only thought of talking about her clothes as a compliment, and not as a topic.

And i can tell some funny story, about a girl i saw wearing these big heels, and suddenly one of the heels broke, but she didn't take of the shoes, and walked like a freaking penguin .

I think you are right. I lost her at that point. But i just have to take that, as a good thing, because now i won't make the same mistake
