How would you handle the situation (It's not crazy bad, but I was sincerely struck with awe)

So I am in the set and as I am going through my routines this other guy in my group grabs my target's bag for her. Then she turns to me and says "see the guy should work for the girl". She says this to me in attempt to tame me, since I've been busting her chops and doing some role reversal, but it also leaves me in awe. For a moment I play it cool, laugh and say "your logic is so twisted".

She decides to bring the topic to the set for discussion. Right away the other guy (and the girls obviously) agree with her. Their words empower her and before I lose my cool I look at them, smile and say "the girl should work for the guy", then I walk off.

What I am wondering is if my reaction was fine or there is a better way to respond to the situation. Although I wanted to stay in that set to get closer to my target, I didn't want to lose my cool and took the opportunity to show my willingness to walk.

The only way around these sort of faux-moral issues is to either agree and quickly move away from the topic, or preferably ignore it and move away from the topic. The moment you said "your logic is so twisted" and started a logical debate, you started to loose.

A load of guys are probably about to jump in and say my first point is wrong. That you can't agree with her because this is a test. That you will be buying into her frame. If anyone says that, they clearly don't actually go out and talk to girls. The far more important thing is to get off the topic and back onto talking about stuff between you and her. But engaging logically - by pushing against her statement and getting into an argument, means you loose the girl whether you win or loose the argument. Your goal isn't to win the argument. Your goal is to get the girl. Therefore you have to focus on getting away from the argument as quick as you can.

As soon as you start arguing, you loose.
