I have been flirting with this girl in my class, and she seems to be pretty interested in me, because when ever I talk she makes eye contact, and I've said a few cheesy or stupid jokes and she'll laugh at them.

Aside from that, how can I get her number without being so direct and saying "Can I have your number?"

Sorry if this question has been answered on a different post, I couldn't find any specifically towards getting a number.

I understand it can be nerve-wrecking to ask a girl for her number but just be natural about it meaning don't make it such a big deal. You can say "hey, we should hang out sometimes." or you can make an event with some friends and say "hey, my friends and I are doing such and such e.g. sushi or going to the beach. you should come." If she says sure, just hand her your phone and say "alright cool, just put in your number and i'll give you a call".

If you want to be more "direct" and traditional just say "hey listen, you seem pretty cool. lets get coffee sometimes" and hand her your phone.

Since you have already been speaking to her and joking and all, the direct approach is lost. I would go for a work around like mentioned above. Propose hanging out and then number close her right away. I'm typically more direct and cocky than a lot of guys but I will try and tone this down. Here is an example of it in words I think may be better suited to most guys:

You: "Hey, what do you have planned for this weekend?"

Her: "Nothing."

You: "Oh, perfect! I was planning on going/doing ________. I think it would be a lot of fun, why don't you come check it out with me?"

her: "yes" or "ok" or "that sounds fun" Whatever. If it is pretty much yes it is a done deal.

You: "Great. Here," Hand her your phone, "give me your number, I'll call you."


My approach to this is a lot more cocky and confident like and much more "this is what your doing" style. But you have to kind of have that personality since before you got to that point or else it isn't natural and will not sound authentic. Everything about pick-up is about developing your own personal style that works best for you individually! You're own flavor if you will.
