I'm still really new to this stuff, just saying in advance.

Okay so HB6-7 was sitting in the library on campus doing some math work and I decided I wanted to approach. I still have AA, but was able to get over it and started asking her for some help on some math. I know, not a good topic, but I was still able to crack a few jokes and then I told her that I have to get back to work, but she insisted continuing the conversation. So we chatted for 20 minutes and then she had to go to class. That's the beginning.

Now every time I run into her in the hall way, she says hi to me, sometimes it's even over exaggerated, but I freeze up and awkwardly say hi back, and we just continue walking in our opposite directions. How do I get past this? One idea I had was to wait for the next time she says hi, and then stop her and say "What? I asked you for help on one math problem and now I'm stuck saying hi to you for the rest of my life?", and then smile, and tell her I'm joking after. But even if I did that, I don't know what I'd do after.

Any opinions would be awesome, and sorry if this is the wrong forum, I'm new, and just getting used to all this.

Thanks TK, I'm going to try that. I've never been on a 1 on 1 date with a girl before (make fun of me and I'll beat you up ), so I'm a bit nervous. Any tips? There's a Subway across the street where a bunch of campus kids go, is that a bad spot to go?
