So, recently, I've been noticing that I get a lot of IOI's when going out, like "you're so funny", "you're so funny", "you know, my friends are just jealous of you talking to me", etc.

However, after getting to know each other better, they tell me they have a boyfriend (or yesterday, a hubby and a little one . After that, I've been hearing stuff like "if not, I would totally take you home with me" or "you should hit on that friend of mine though, she's single".

So, I'm trying to figure out how to tell these "false IOIs" apart from "true IOIs". My idea so far is that if the IOIs seem to come TOO easy, they probably are. What do you guys think? Any other ways of telling them apart?

PS. Picking up them anyway is not for me, please don't go there.

Reading bodylanguage and interpreting (non)verbal IOI is very difficult and if you are thinking too much in field, you are fucked. To elicit a true IOI, you have to test for compliance after she gives you a kind of IOI. Ask a (non)verbal request: if she responds well, that's a true IOI, if not game on, it was not a "true IOI".

Take-home message:
IOI is only a compliance escalation sign.
You can objectively test it by compliance testing.
