| Last night I transitioned a conversation with a Colombian girl after class into a dinner date at a Mexican restaurant. The date itself went well and I'm looking to get a day 2 this weekend with the upcoming auto show here in Philly. However, one of the things that raised a red flag was while I was telling a story, she picked up her phone and replied to a text. Complete and utter disrespect if you ask me. So after I let her finish, I said this:
Me: (with a neutral tone of voice) I lost my train of thought. I was telling you a story and then you interrupted me by answering your phone.
Her: Oh, I'm sorry. Go on.
Me: No, that's ok. I don't really feel like finishing it now.
Her: (here she is trying to gain my approval) I was listening to you while I was texting...(she then starts to repeat some things I said)...cmon, finish the story.
Me: Nah, it wasn't a funny story anyway. (Then we changed the subject)
Now, maybe I screwed it up by not continuing the story. But in my mind, I had to implant the idea into this girl that it is NOT ok to reach over to your phone and interrupt me while we're on a date/having a conversation. I wouldn't do the same to her, so I demand the same SPAM.
My question to you guys is... how do you deal with the situation when a girl does something rude? Could be interrupting you during a date, insulting your family, whatever. I'd like to hear your opinions. _________________ Pretty little girls, so used to getting your way. Along comes a man who challenges you, and suddenly you don't know what to say.
