Thats what most people think until their game gets good. The guy pulls (which is an undercover/tacit/implicit push) then calibrates to the girls explicit pull. This is exactly why Mystery talks about building attraction and qualification (pull) before providing comfort, approval, and rapport (push). Another way to understand this, is the PUA demonstrating high value (pull) then when when he gets the hook (attraction) he calibrates and can push or wait for the girl to push. Understanding this dynamic is the difference between mediocre game and PUA.

finally it is guys job is to push but only AFTER he has her attraction, the mistake most afc's make is explicit "pushing" before attraction.

It's all about calibration, not trying to memorize whatever order. Sometimes you need to push, sometimes you need to pull, only way to learn is to get experience knowing when to do what.
