There's an HB8.5 that's been in my life recently. I met her a few years ago through friends while I was dating my ex. I have never talked to her much but we have been on a trip together as friends with my ex and her other friend. She now lives in Asia for work and has been for the past year, we started talking randomly for a few months now. The conversation is always fun, interesting, sometimes flirty. I have always found her attractive and I found her to have a very nice personality. It happens that I had to go to Asia and one of the destinations is where she lives. So I tell her and we plan to meet up while I'm there.

Fastforward to me arriving, my length of stay is one week. She invites me out to dinner the first night with her brother and a few of her guy friends. I focused on being confident, and getting to know her friends instead of macking, but it was still a good time. She asked me if I was seeing anyone back home i said no, I asked her if she was seeing anyone and she says no. It was an overall good time, some flirting, and by the end we both went our separate ways. She invites me to a new years eve party a couple days later, and of course I agree.

The party was good, we both got pretty drunk. Some more alone time this time around, I focused on building comfort, rapport, teasing, etc. But everyone was sloppy so we just kept it casual, and I started to like her more. I did not go for a close, but we planned to hang out in a couple days to go around town.

Then a couple days later we meet and hang out for 2 days straight. This would be the last 2 days of my trip, and it was just us. This would be the first time we hung out just us 2, and everything went great. We spent both days starting off doing touristy stuff and having her show me around, followed by going somewhere to have drinks until 1-2am. The connection was strong, I can tell I was successful at making this girl comfortable around me, making her laugh, building rapport, etc. I would show I liked her more as a friend, like by posting pics of us on IG and combining an inside joke with calling her beautiful. We would take a bunch of pics together and she would say how cute they looked. She would then post these pics as well after I left, but I did not escalate, go for k or f close or anything both days partly because my escalation sucks after breaking up with my ex, and I did not want to seem like I was trying to fuck her in the couple days that I'm there because she's the first girl i really liked since my ex so I got nervous. But after reading up on these forums again recently, I realized I should have tried... fuck.

So after I left I had one more destination in Asia and then I had to go back to where she was for a long ass layover on the way back home. We decide to have lunch during this layover where I gave her a few souveniers from my last destination, which she seemed to really like. Now I have been back home for about a month now and I really miss her. We facebook/snapchat each other a few times a week, and the mood hasnt really changed. I tell her i miss her, she tells me she misses me back. She's also telling me to come back soon already.

How do I maintain interest level when its long distance like this? How often should I be talking to her? Should I be facetiming her and stuff? When we msg each other on facebook sometimes it takes us a day or 2 to reply but the conversation doesnt miss a beat. Sometimes I reply long, sometimes short. The reason I want to do this is because she visits twice a year and is bound to come back permanently after a year or 2. And I don't want it to die out due to boring conversation. I dont plan to shut myself off to other girls because I realize she is so far away, but I do really like her. Opinions?
