Hopefully this is in the right forum, but if not please move it.

Basically I'm a guitarist in two bands, a death metal band, and a classic rock covers band.
When asked what I do, I say i'm a musician (leave out that I also working in a shop lol).
This I find straight away gains interest. Then I proceed to explain that i'm in a death metal band that tours, has done europe etc (gaining more interest, and being in that kind of band is unusual)... and then say im also in a classic rock band, which I say is nice because its more fun and chilled out (saying i am fun and chilled out).

What I want to know is, is this the kind of thing I should be saying? Will they think i'm either boasting or just lying? Do girls have to see a musician in action to be attracted? Im sure im thinking too much into this, but would just like your thoughts.

I try to never lie, I say I am an artist and depending on the play I will either joke about being a PUA or I will show her my sketchbook as I draw well, I am not an artist by occupation just as a hobby.
