So I met this girl from online gaming yesterday who I immediately developed a bit of oneitis for. We met in the city and then took a walk to a sushi place, we ate, then got lost in the city and ended up watching a movie, afterwards we walked to the train (we take the same train home but she lives a few stops later).

Some notes:
I payed for the food and movies (I didn´t really give her the option to pay for her part though, and I make a lot more than she does)
I talked a bit more (she admitted she was shy, but she laughed a lot and we held hands when walking)
Kissed a couple of times in the movies, but I escalated pretty slow

Before we met, she had been texting me a lot but now afterwards I feel that she is a bit short with me on her texts, so I want to hear your guys opinion on this. This is the first girl I like for about a year now so I am more invested than I usually am in this.

Texting after the first date:
She starts three hours later: Thank you again for today, was really fun studying hard now?
me: Taking a nap + reading some psychics.. Yes looking forward to meeting you again how´s the math
her: Just had dinner so gonna read more now
me: Hope it wasn´t sushi
her: haha no it wasnt but i made my mom promise me to make sushi soon
me: haha that´s awesome, you might very well be a genius (heart emoticon)
her: haha maybe
me:
her: gonna go clubbing tonight?
me: Nah, need to study, you gonna try to sneak in? (she´s not 18 yet)
her: Totally and also gonna try and get free drinks haha but no i need to study maths
me: Noo don´t become a clubbing chick:(
her: I wont haha dont worry
me: Naw that´s my rebel angel (heart emoticon) ( inside joke)
her: hehe

one day later (tonight):
me: If the weather cooperates, have picnick with me on Thurday or Friday for lunch?:)
her: Sure friday would be the best:)
me: Friday it is, good luck on tomorrow´s test :*
her: Thank you! :*
her again: How are you today?:)
me: Sick of studying, little disappointed in myself since I´m taking a week of form work. Otherwise happy:) you?
her: Aw dont feel disappointed im good, been doing maths for the whole day so hopefully will do good on the test tomorrow
me: I'm sure you will throw in some string theory if you wanna sound extra smart:)
Her: haha ill try:P
me: Then I´m sure you'll do great, try get some good night sleep:)
her: hope so yeh im actually gonna go and sleep now, goodnight:)
me: goodnight:)

Compared to before, she writes shorter texts to me and she has never been the one to end the conversation (I always did, we texted for like a week before meeting). So I´d appreciate any feed back or general thoughts please:) I´m a little dissapointed that she didn´t reply with heart emoticons when I used them. Shes 17, Im 18.

Firstly my friend break out of the oneitis, we know a lot of people suffer it but it makes you focus too much and can appear needy. Secondly you may earn more and pay for the meal tell her shes getting the movie. You're paying more but by not balancing it out she'll think you're trading those payments for her affection! By paying what would cost more you've no need to feel guilty.

But honestly I think you're reading in to her texts way too much. Okay they are shorter but she's agreed to a second date so you've done something right. Don't be afraid to lose her and learn a lesson. Learn some simple kino and rapport techniques off of here before you're picnic and go in there confident in who you are.

I dunno man, those texts seem fine to me.

You'd know her better, obviously, but they don't seem short in my opinion.

Reading those texts I'd say you're in, only thing that will screw you up is how worried you are about it.
