I am fairly new to this as have just ended an ltr.

Anyway probably approached about 15 seperate girls on Friday night & I notice the feel of success decreases as the night wears on. A combination of getting tipsy & I also noticed that after about midnight there are a lot of guys who gain a bit of liquid courage so a lot more competition.

There were several areas I had trouble interpreting, they are listed below.

FIRST
I was doing ok with this one girl, making reasonable eye contact and lots of touching & then we were having a bit of a laugh when out of nowhere she gives me a palm to the forehead, whiskey tango foxtrot!!! I was just a bit stunned, then we carried on as if nothing had happened - sort of joked it off. It was not hard enough to hurt but definitely stunned me for a moment. Why would she of done that & is there an appropriate response.
She had to work early the next day so she left.

SECOND
I leaned over to a girl from behind & said I dig women with large shoulders, she stood up at about 6.5 towering over me & for a split second thought she was going to take me out.
Ended up having a pleasant enough conversation, but she basically spent 15 minutes telling me what she did and how good she was. I said that I like women that can dominate men as I am sick of telling others what to do all day, it makes a nice change. The conversation ended & I dont know if this was a good thing to say or not.

Two girls on a couch & my friend (a pretty boy natural) opened & was chatting for a while & I came over and started chatting to the less attractive one as I thought he was after the nice one.
Found out a little later he did not care & was just helping me out. So I went back & started back in only the less attractive one was into me & I did not have the heart to switch at that point so walked away.

While I am completely new to this, I do like that guy Sasha on You tube who just walks up and tells them exactly what he is thinking & I think I am more comfortable with this sort of thing than mind games & tricks although I dont really care as long as whatever I do starts working.

Any recommendations on handling the above?

I am going out tonight to give it another go.

never approach from behind, it shocks people and appears a little creepy. You made yourself look a pussy by saying you like dominant women. if you liked the more attractive one, you lost out. you had done the hard work winning over the ugly friend. Once you win the friend over you can move onto the girl you like easier.
