keeping this short and to the point.
I'm back together with girl about 35 years old. We've been going out about 1.5 years before this. I'm tall and dominant. When i open the door to a venue, i always throw open both doors and walk —nay, make my entrance— through the center. There's sufficient time for the lady to enter behind me, as i avoid following women as a general rule.
She's hot for me, but this issue is causing undue tension in our relationship: she expects me to open the passenger door of the car for her before she enters, and also expects me to hold open the door at various venues for her to enter.
She texted me that "secretly, manners are the way to her heart." I told her that I hold myself to be a gentleman by virtue, and tell her that people who aren't gentlemen cover up the fact by doing overt things like holding the door open for a woman, pulling out a chair for her before sitting down, et cetera.
Please share your thoughts: is not holding a door open for a lady bad manners? is it not gentlemanly? is it AFC? What place, if any, does it have in PUA?
I'm enough of a bad-boy and have enough PUA-equity to give in to her requests, but is it right for me to do that? Look forward to your experienced advice.
If you're in a relationship, you can drop all the gaming knowledge.. its different now. The only thing to avoid is to become a needy wuss ...
I don't see anything wrong in holding the door for her... I still tease my girlfriend, and brat her out, but I open doors for her, and sometimes not only to her, but to the other people that are passing by. Being a PUA doesn't neccesarily mean having bad manners. You're already the alpha male, opening doors for her won't make you AFC, if you keep acting like you've always done....
I don't see why opening doors for her would be considered bad ...at all...
Those are the small details that girls notice when theyre with a guy ...
