Hey everyone, I'm a 22 year old guy. Just a little background on myself, I just graduated college and now trying to figure out what I want to do in life. In the meantime, I'm working part-time. Anyways, when it comes to women, I have failed pretty miserably in the past. I've had one meaningful relationship in my life and it only lasted 3 months. My only other real experience with a woman was a girl that I hooked up with one night last year. Yes, I am still a virgin unfortunately. I've read some PUA materials, but I suffer from some social anxiety and nerves. I have problems approaching girls. I've been told I'm not bad looking, but I always have a bit of self-esteem issues. I generally don't go to bars and clubs etc, because of my lack of self-confidence.

I want to take control of my dating life now and turn things around, so I've decided I want to pursue the art of pickup not just to hook up with girls but also find someone for a meaningful relationship. I will definitely read this forum thoroughly and try to learn as much as I can. I'd also appreciate any insight you guys could give me regarding my specific situation, and whether anyone has been in the same boat and how best to fix it. My group of friends isn't the most social group when it comes to going out to places like bars and clubs, so my experience is really limited there. But I want to become successful in that environment. Thanks for reading my long spiel and I'd really appreciate any advice on how best to develop any PUA skills.

Welcome to the forums dude, I would say you need to work on your inner game first (confidence). Then start getting into how exactly it all works (David DeAngelo helps a lot to understand how the female brain works). first off I would like to say welcome to the forums. I would agree have to agree with the recommendation of "the game" by Neil Strauss, it's a life changer. The only advice I can give you with your current situation is to get out there and force yourself to talk to people, step outside your comfort zone and just force yourself to socialize, it's hard at first but over time you'll start to become accustomed to it, it's not an overnight solution. And don't think of rejection as a bad thing, because it is actually the complete opposite, when you get rejected simply take a moment to look over what you did wrong and what you could do to improve it the next time. Everyone gets rejected at some point, but the thing that will make the difference between whether you're going to be a failure or a winner is how you choose to react to that rejection.
