I'm not sure this is right for me quite yet, I've read some of the stuff on here, and I intend to try the newbie challenge as I have to pretty strong fears of talking to people in general. However I don't wish to just pick up girls to sleep with them, I am after a long term relationship, and I'm attempting to rid myself of my foolish anxieties.

I had a gf for my entire high school career we were both good friends, and lovers, shit went sour a couple of years after graduating, and now I've come to realize that being in a relationship like that through most of my school time has left me completely dumbstruck when it comes to talking to other women with the means of getting to know them.

I simply wish to be able to approach a girl, and attempt to strike information or a date or something of the like out of her, while being myself. Any Suggestions?

That's good u know what u want. Also by wanting a LTR, you have to be more selective on which women you choose to bring into your life.

Get use to start talking to women, even if it just what ever is on your mind. Just start talking. Know that it is more risky not to start talking.

Try not to focus on hard facts when first meeting someone, keep it fun and simple.
