Hi,

I'm new to PU, but I'm ready to run guns blazing into the field at least 4 nights a week and hone my skills asap. I live in a college town (Boulder, CO)...and Friday and Saturday nights (and even Thursday nights) are absolutely pumping. Sometimes it's hard to move around the hot bars or even hear people speak. That said, there are TONS of hot and available sets on these nights...

I really want to make a schedule and stick to it...and my line of work allows me to be available whenever...so is it better to go out when it's busy or try to make things happen during the week when there's not so much noise and competition? I'm new to the game, so keep that in mind.

usually I would say u can go out every day in the week. U are right Friday and Saturday is more competition, but how cares… u are the party
However… if u go to busy club/bar where it is really noisy u should find a nice, little bit quieter area in the club/bar, before u even approach a girl. So this would be ur spot once u have open a set and build up a little comfort. Pull the trigger and tell her that u want to show her something, u want to introduce her to ur friends, continue talking in a little bit quieter surrounding or something else…
Once u have her there u can take the other steps… also if u are just for number closing u can take her there… tell her it’s so loud here… we should go talk over there… or I know a place wherer we can talk better.
NEVER! Forget about her friends! If she is with other girls take the group… if u are already in the comfort zone ask her friends if u can borrow her for a sec… and so on.

Just try different things… ur stuff sounds good so far.

I live in a smaller college town, but it's a small scene so it's pretty lame except on Thurs. and Sat. nights. When I go out on Fri. all I find are sausagefests, and Sun-Wed. are DEAD.

I don't agree with the "go out every night to get this handled" advice. In most cities, what happens is that you go out, get bored, and spend more money than you intended to on drinking. Girls are also a lot less susceptible to being pulled for same night lays and makeouts on those nights, too. I'm not sure how it is in Boulder, but that's been my experience over several years.

The super crowded, super loud environments can be tough to pick up in. I agree about finding places with quieter areas. Personally, I usually just try to avoid those places, even if there are a lot of hot girls there. Unless you're exceptionally good looking and peacocked out like a motherfucker, I've found that girls will just tune you out like all the other background noise--the crowd means you have tons of competition and the noise means you have literally nothing else to attract them in those situations but your looks, style, and body language.

My favorite areas for pick up are busy and have a good party SPAM going, but there's still enough room to move around, breathe, and take a girl to a table where you can spend some time 1-on-1 to talk in a normal tone of voice.

Look up the events at local clubs.

My home town is dead except weekends but university towns are busy throughout the week. Student nights are cheaper and more fun if you like a younger crowd.
