The PUP in the title is a term I came up with meaning Pick UP Padawan (cause I'm a geek like that). And now for the meat and potatoes.

>Shenandoah Valley, Virginia, USA

>22, going on 23

>Barnes and Noble. I was working there one Christmas and they had a table in the break room with a bunch of books that any employee could take. One was The Game, and I snatched it up. It sat at my house for a few months, and then I finally cracked it open...been studying it ever since.

>Merely study, no real practice, although a few opens using merely the mindset, for about three years. And still can't get over paralysing Approach Anxiety.

>I'm a big fan of Style and Mystery's methods, and the whole Inner Game concept of "I'm the coolest guy here".

>Writing, and most geek related topics (fantasy, anime, etc)

>I'd like to be able to orient myself, not just socially, but that's part of it.

>Let's see, my fist and, so far, only girlfriend, who doesn't rate on the HB scale at all, I got when I was 20, and my first time, not with her, happened when I was 21.

Oh, and hi.

Sorry to resurrect my old intro thread, but I've changed a fair amount during the time I was last on here. Mainly inner game stuff.

Some time last fall, I was in a situation that challenged me physically, and emotionally. It was hell on the emotional front, mainly because it revealed weaknesses in me that I'd been ignoring for too long. Thankfully, I emerged like Andy Dufrane. "Crawled through a river of shit and came out clean on the other side."

I find I'm more confident, less caring of others opinions, and generally a great deal happier. Still have trouble with actually using Game, but that's mainly from a lack of opportunity than approach anxiety. When the chance presents itself, I can engage in conversations with complete strangers, and enjoy the interaction.

While I've no where near mastered the arts of the game, I do believe I am a step closer. No longer a youngling, to continue to use the Star Wars metaphor.
