Hello all!

I joined the forum about 3 months back and assumed that it was easy after seeing this comic: http://xkcd.com/800/ then reading "The Rules" and "The Game", followed by posting this field report: wow-this-stuff-really-works-vt77581.html?highlight= . Since then, it's all gone somewhat quiet unfortunately.

A little about me; I never had the ability to make a move on girls, it was always them who had to initiate things. Fortunately, I'm attractive enough (according to female friends, hot or not and my Mum ) that this happened, but even then I'd often not know where to go with it.

What's annoys me is that I am capable of being alpha, but only in certain situations (parties where I knew nearly no-one and had to socialise with new people). When with friends, I'm far too afraid of being mocked-for-failing to even try an approach. I know that it's only friendly banter, but it's one of a very small number of areas that would get to me when being mocked.

Finally, I got my first house recently and it would be a waste if I didn't know how to get girls back to make the most of the rug in front of my open fire!

Aside from everything else, anthropology fascinates me and so I combine that with my approach to engineering to end up with a strong desire to work out the hows, whys, whats of people's behaviour.

Anyhow, that's me sort of summed up I think!
