I'm a 39 year old male living outside of Denver. I broke up with a beautiful blonde a few months ago, after a 3 year relationship.

I also play in a band and a lot of women find me very attractive. Most of the women I date are quite beautiful, too. So why am I here?

Simple. If a woman approaches me and is very interested, I can close quite well. But if I have to initiate a pickup, it turns into a pretty pathetic scenario.

I can't even count all the women that have approached me because of my looks and then been bored out of their attraction by my pickup skills (or lack thereof). Frankly, talking with women I don't know makes me very uncomfortable.

I'm pretty tired of only having access to women who approach me. It feels passive and weak. I want to be able to initiate and close, and I'm here to learn how to do that.

You need to use the 3 second rule and then expand your conversation to cover a wide range of things that you are genuinely interested in - but be flexible. Ask them about their tastes in music, about other music venues and bands, and what/where did they find it most exciting, who were they with. Who do they hang about with, what other plans do they have, etc. etc. Move on to other topics, vacation, college, phone nos., dating, etc.

I am new in the society and i have still trouble to demonstrate value. Before, i used to stay at home plying video games cause i didnt have any self esteem. Now i am going out often and i am able to talk. But i still need to make women conftable. And alos very important: How to close with a girl?

Hey Im 40 and play drums in a band too! I was confused as to this point too as I found it easy to get women if I had a decent wingman /mate with me(they generally were just easy) but on my own I couldnt get anywhere!
Lots to learn but stick at it these gurus know their stuff! Your gonna learn ALOT but it works in ways you wouldnt imagine!
