Hello, My name is Nathan. I am 21 years old. Not very good with girls. I have slept with only one girl in my life, one time.

(I dont know why, she was fat and from detroit, but she said I was sexy and wanted to bang me so I invited her to party and it happened, kind of an epic virginity loss story if you want to hear it lol)

I have never had a girlfriend. I honestly havent had friends for a very long time, only about a year. I use to play video games since I was about 12, so most of the people where I live do not even know me. About a year ago, I made a facebook and added everyone from my town on it and met a friend that i still hang out with and made alot of friends along the way. I am proud of myself for that, mostly because I have always been extremely shy. I am insecure deep down but alot of the time i can manage to pull off the "I am confident" stature. Which is why I think the girl actually had sex with me. I am over weight, but I read a few posts on this thread before i signed up, and a few said that looks dont matter, its about confidence. I am interested in learning how to talk with girls and overcoming the fear. I am always nervous when I talk to a girl, even if I knew her for ever.

For example: I have a friend named adrienne whom I have known for like 8 months now. And I STILL get nervous talking to her. If my friends are around, I care too much about what they think about me which makes me nervous to talk to her. One on one i am nervous and dunno what to say. But yeah, I am new to this website!!

I have one question for now. Are there any threads that you reccomend that I read as a newcomer to this site and being new to the ways of a PUA?

Nice to meet you.

In the future, you will appreciate the pigs you banged.

Hehe, thats probably true :D

My goal is to try and overcome social anxiety and shyness, and imrpove my game. I fear that because I am 21, and never had friends before i was 20, except over the internet, that I will never be any good. I just hope that it is possible to make up for all of those lost years and become good at being social, and finding out who I am, because I have no idea.

Hmm, that was insightful. I am really trying to make myself happy, because I tend to struggle with depression and insecurities. I mean I am fat, socially awkward, shy, I think I am ugly and always feel low about myself. That link I just read basicly told me to stop caring what other people think of me and live for myself, to some extent. Always strive to better myself. Goto college, get a job, stick to my beliefs and morals. Not to give in to someone just so that they will like me. It tells me that I should stop trying to impress people and just be me and be proud of who I am and accept myself for who I am, and if I do that good things will come to me. People will be happy to be around me and be grateful that I am their friend/man. Thats what I learned from that. :D

I am going to start applying positive thoughts and positive things to my life and try not to let things get me down.

Alright :P

Is there anything else that I should read as a newcomer to this website? Something to help me get familiar with the acronyms and ways to boost my confidence and find myself in some way? I do not think I am quite ready to start trying to be a PUA just yet. I think I need to become confident in myself before I do that. Like getting better at conversing among friends and stuff.

Go to the "Building an attractive life style". Try to find yourself, before you find the girls.
