I'm glad and excited to join this PUA forum! I discovered the community after reading Neil Strauss' book and watching The Pickup Artist on VH-1.

I'm an Asian dude living in the US. Like many Asians, I had crazy overbearing parents which had the effect of making me have zero confidence. When I went off to college, I was socially ill-prepared, didn't fit in, and spent a lot of time alone. The problem with always being alone is, you eventually get used to it, even enjoy it. Needless to say, having little social skills and no confidence were completely fatal to gaming girls.

I was like this most of my university days. I didn't start to break out until the very end, when it was too late.

About two years after I graduated, I said "fuck it". I packed all my stuff into a moving van and moved to a new city. I went there without a job and without knowing anyone (except a roommate). It was the craziest, most illogical thing I've done. In retrospect, it was also the best thing I've ever done. Being indepedent, away from my folks and struggling to make ends meet helped me gain a lot of social confidence.

I'm hoping to join you guys to gain even more. I've read almost everything by Mystery and Style. I'm also involved with a Facebook lair, one dedicated to learning and practising PUA arts. The lair is always looking for new people, so message me if you wanna join.

I hope to learn and contribute to this forum!
