From australia, 15, I started getting indulged by the pua society after watch the VH1 pick up artist series. I haven't even started practicing in the field, which is why im here. I want to learn what to do after opening, i want to learn some negs and DHV-ing. My goal, is to be confident and be able to open and close with it. I want to start now and by the time I'm eighteen and can go clubbing, ill go hard!

HELP AN AFC OUT :D

Just start going out, take a bud (Preferably one who is comfortable with talking to girls or who is a little higher up on the social status ladder) and just walk into town (Like I did). Practice starting conversations with random people, not just girls. You will get comfortable with talking in general. Its a huge confodence boost to realise that these canned openers do work, and I was amazed at the level of attention people were giving me.

Once again - it's great to see so many teens here!

Great advice man! I have a little thing that I do , and I tell my students to do, to get over approaching anxiety:
Step one: Say hi to someone, anyone - no need to follow up with conversation
Step two: Pay someone a compliment, anyone - " "
Step three: Say hi to someone, anyone - follow up with anything, anything at all, then after a few minutes of small talk, depart from the set.
Step four: Open a set.

This gradual increase in talking to people makes AA diminish a ton. Also, having an opener in your head all day seems to help when you get to step four; just repeat it in your head, or out loud to your wing, all day. Practice it in front of the mirror before you go out. It's not so much the LINE, but how comfortable you are with you saying the line - how comfortable you are affects how you deliver it; are you nervous, and rushing through it (hoping that if you spit out the line, they'll like you), or are you familiar with the line, and taking your time(as if it's just something to talk about)? Ask yourself these questions after every set, find what went wrong (if anything) and fix it.

Anyway, I'm tired, PM me if you want to talk about anything!

Hope to hear from you soon,
