hay guys, i'm a 19 year old from Melbourne, Australia, and picked up Neil Strauss's "The Game" about 6 months ago. Allthough I loved the book and have watch tons of videos and other information since then, i havn't had the balls to actually walk up to a woman.

I'm extremley insecure, with most of it coming from my lack of success with women. But i plan to change that, and hopefully with everyone'es advice i can.

Hey mate,

I'm from Sydney- welcome to the boards. I'm pretty new too.

Sounds like you need to start with the Inner Game stuff to take care of the insecurities. That's what I've been working on mostly. I'm 27. For the last 4 or 5 years I've been crippled with insecurities. Now I walk down the street like I own the place and women notice.

The main things that have helped me have been:

1. long term goal setting- work out what you want, not what you think other people, including women, want. When you have a long-term view, day to day problems like approaching girls start to look pretty insignificant.

2. specify the exact negative thoughts you have about yourself- write them down. Then cross those out and next to it write a positive thought to counter it, or if you can't do that, write down a way you can change or improve on that part of your life.

3. Once you've done the last couple of steps, think about how you visualise yourself. What kind of words do you use? What kind of images do you see? Change the negative words to positive ones. Start making images in your mind of yourself being powerful. Go overboard if you have to. Imagine yourself being 40 feet tall and made of gold or something.

Some of this stuff sounds stupid at first but it works if you are open minded.

Good luck man.

Gday Rohan,

Im also from Melb. I know what you are going through, but understand almost every PUA started off the same way, so keep that in mind. Just rehearse some routines and get feedback from others

all the best.
