I'm 19, lived in Sydney my whole life. Unfortunately, the combination of an ultra-conservative Hindu mum and schoolyard abuse (in a single sex school, as well) kind of screwed up most of my chances with women up till now.
However, I'm now in uni and have gotten at least two of the things holding me back out of the way. I still live with my parents, but I'm too cheap to move out and I figure I can work around that if I need to.
Anyway, I've discovered that I'm OK with women for the most part - I know I can make them laugh, and I figure that's a good place to start - but I tend to have issues sealing the deal. Case in point - the last girl I asked out gave me an excuse before promising to add me on Facebook. It's been two days and I figure it's not happening there.
So I'm basically here to learn. I don't have bad anxiety issues - I've always figured I'm pretty good looking which is a help - but I want to learn how to close.

Welcome to the community. Fish, we all started off really slow and personally I believe that the community helped. I am fairly new on this NG, I used to chat on fast seduction but I find the guys here a little better at the game than the guys there.

It seems this is a more advanced and diverse crowd. Dude, I agree with AFCCoffee, read the Mystery Method first and familiarize yourself with the M3 model and the concepts. I have read it all... And honestly, the way I pick up is a self made method based on the M3 model but where I have incorpurated the stuff that suits me and my personality from many other PUAs.

It takes time, commitment and effort and a year later you will be flying through a set on autopilot. It becomes who you are, you cannot help but approach when you see a set. It becomes second nature and whether you use routines or not you will start to make things up in set. Some will work some wont. Just always know that it is possible but it takes some effort when you start.

If you need any direct help, PM me with any questions and I will gladly assist by giving you my opinion. Remeber, it would be my personal opinion and you will see that opinions differ greatly and this is what makes this NG so awesome. 10 people will give you different pieces of advice. Well first things first, I just realised that my first reply to you fish was my 100th post, rock on!

But yeah we all did start slow here, I used to be a real AFC and until I can pick up every girl I can approach I will never take it out of my name. I'm not ashamed to call myself it, it defines myself and it shows that I won't turn into an apathetic social robot that doesn't respect woman.
Around 8 months ago, I used to say to girls I liked them before the second meeting and it was totally stupid. Even ASKED for numbers, looking back on it now it was kind of embarrasing.
After reading mystery method I felt a sudden change inside myself, I was in control of girls rather the other way around. Sure I was still scared of rejection but the main factor was that women were investing in me and after a week or two my value risen dramatically.
About 2 months ago I stopped using mystery method and ran my own natural gaming, I'm dating two girls at the moment both who are very beautiful and a great bundle of fun. However, I'm not here to brag I'm here to put down my point that this forum right here WILL change your life.
