I'm 23 and I just ended a 6-year relationship. She was wonderful, but we had started dating at age 17 and I just wanted to experience being single for once in my adult life, since things were starting to get really serious.

Anyway, I've always been on the shy and nervous-in-social-situations side. I'm very intelligent, and have a natural ability to be charming and fun in social situations, however my social anxiety (that I'm now calling excitement) seems to just jam up my gears and turn me into a under confident chump when I'm with people I don't know that well.

My best friend gave me a copy of The Game which I have really been enjoying. I also spent the better part of today reading all the great info on this forum and other sites.

Now for the "Lots of Flexibility" part. I've spent the last year building an online business which is now pretty well established. I can spend as little as a few hours online a week managing things, and still pull in a very decent salary. I recently moved out the apartment I shared with my girlfriend and into my parents house (I had no other place to go), so I'm free to travel the world or settle down where ever I want.

At this point, I am trying to decide between a few options:

1. Get an RV, and spend 6-months to a year+ traveling the US, visiting all the different hot-spots in the country. I could spend as much or as little time as I want at each, and possibly find a place that I like and settle down there. I stumbled across this idea on Tynan dot net.

2. Immediately move to the city (where a few friends/family already live) and establish myself there.

I've only lived in two places in California, and I think it would be nice to branch out, but on the other hand, I think it would be easier to build and maintain relationships while established in the city.

Anyway, I'm here not necessarily to learn how to lay as many chicks as I can, but to overcome my fear of approaching people, learn how to be confident and live the way I want to live.
