Hi everyone,

I'm 28 and I have been browsing this forum for a few days - I've been interested in all things PUA for a little longer though. The first thing I heard of the lifestyle was in a newspaper article about Neil Strauss and 'The Game', a book I have subsequenty read. I have yet to read any other PUA material.

I have had a distinctly average history picking up girls but now is the time to change all of that; I am well aware that things won't change overnight though, but the research and preparation starts now.

I am conscious about the musings of Strauss when he talks about making the best of one's appearance; I'm a little out of shape so I'm planning on tackling that with much gusto whilst devouring as much information as possible, this is before I go out into the field. I'm not frightened of getting out there but conscious, concerted efforts to be at the top of my game all the time will only begin in the field when I have some tools at my disposal and an appearance which imbides great confidence.

I'm looking at this preparatpry period being about 6 months long and then I will hit the scene; those girls won't know what is coming! I think I'll end my little hello with a nice quote from Muhammad Ali, it is quite apt;

'The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses - behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights.'

Just wanted to suggest a few books you might want to have a flick through, Not strictly PUA material but great stuff to get your teeth into, although great to use when talking to girls and depending on your profession can also be massivly helpful during your working day!

Im reading a few bits an pieces at the moment but take a little look at some of the books im going over:

So whats your usual tactics when it comes to meeting girls? or is it a sort of random thing?

My approach with girls has been pretty haphazard so far; it's not like it has been completely fruitless but I've never given myself a mindset of going for girls in a targeted way. I guess that it is a case of having only so much time in life and wanting to get the best returns!

I'm based in Leeds right now but I hope to be back in London by the end of the year; this could tie in well with the 6 month timeframe I mentioned before.

How is your game going? Have you been living the lifestyle for a while?

My approach is normally in the more conversationally social areas of clubs and bars...the smoking areas! God bless that smoking area!

Not sure if you smoke or socially smoke or what have you but since the ban it’s such a great place, it will give you such a variety of different sets to approach. As for living the lifestyle there is only so far I can go with my current mates if im honest with you. My friend has recently read the game but he takes Negs and Cocky funny to another level! (the BAD level)

Recently went out to Oceania in Kingston and they have an amazing smoking area really really social, when I go out with friends that don’t smoke I normally feel more then comfortable to go to the smoking area by myself because when im in an area that no one knows me I feel like I can be anyone I want, but anyway going off subject, this friend that has recently read the game discussed the idea of going out to try out his new found "skills" so I decided I would try and wing for him for a while and here is what happened....

**On the smoking balcony thing in Oceania**

Him: Mate! Take a look at her! She’s fit as!
**Gesturing towards 1 girl within a 4 set, Plus 1 guy that was talking to the target, All standing round a big table**

Me: Let’s go then shall we? Come on!

Him: Nah, she’s talking to that guy over there

Me: Looks to me like she’s out with the girls, there’s no way she’s going out with him, come on, I will go and talk and distract him, you move to the other side of the table and talk to her mates and it will completely isolate her, she wont know what hit her!

Him: Yea go on then

*We move into our planned positions, I started talking to the guy, pretending that he looks like someone id met before and how he looks really familiar, to which he looks creped out after the conversation went on a little too long, which was what I was hoping for. My friend then moving to the other side of the table and began speaking to the other girls in the group, who to be fair went appealing. His target now stripped off her male attention and the comfort of her friends began to look rather left out.

My friend was clearly winning over the other girls there was laughing and joking but the only person to not be included was the target

After a few more minutes, his target turned to him to start a conversation to which he brushed her off with a neg (Do you mind? imp speaking to your lovely friends here)

Looking at her she looked slightly offended, not being used to be socially ignored im assuming. After a few more minutes she tried again, this I thought at the time I thought was just about the right time to strike...

Him:*Laughing with not so fit friends*

Her: Now that we've finished out cigarettes, why don’t we go to the bar?

Him: *Turns and look towards the bar area through the open door* normally I would, but seems abit packed out. (This was meant to be some sort of weird neg) But why don’t you drink this? *Grabs random drink left on the table behind*

Her: *Look of horror and disgust* Erm do I look like the sort of girl who would drink some random left over skanky drink?

Him: Sort of (The negging is just getting weird and offensive now)

Her: Anyone could have left that there! It could have been spiked! What if it was left there by a DATE RAPIST?!

*With everyone turning and looking in his direction after the girl said date rapist just a little too loud, he quickly slipped away, leaving me to deal with the disapproving looks!!*

Think the moral of the story there is, don’t call girls skanks or give them the impression you may be a date rapist!

Later on that night trying to redeem himself we started talking to a two set on the same smoking balcony.

One of the girls look like she was in her late 30's the other late 20's I would have said, the late 20's was pretty good looking but at this point my friend was just trying to redeem himself the best he could

Half way through the conversation this happened:

Late 20's: So, how old are you two then?
Me: Why don’t you try and guess? Can’t tell you everything all at once
Late 30's: around 27?
Me: Cold
Late 20's Mid 20's? Like 25?
Me: Warmer, getting there
Late 20's: 23?
Not exactly true but it was close enough and I didn’t want the age gap to become an issue
Me: Bingo!
Late 30's: OH WOW, YOU’RE THE EXACT SAME AGE AS US!!
My friend: Err sorry, you must have missed heard him; he said 23, NOT 43!

So in the longest possible answer to your question, not exactly living the life yet! Im still waiting for my friend to get a little bit better!!
