Hello everyone!
As the title says, I'm located in Northern Ireland, I'm quite close to both Belfast and Lisburn, if that means anything to anyone here.
Oddly(?) I'm only 17, but when I heard about this I became instantly consumed, and had to know more. There probably aren't many other teenagers on here, but if there are any, feel free to give me a shout, we might be able to help eachother out.
I believe my first experience was in reading a thread on a forum/imageboard a while back, where people where talking about pickup, do methods work etc. Since I'm a fairly inquiring person, I checked it out and did a little research. In the beginning I never really got motivated to get into "the game," but recently I started to read "The Game" (funnily enough) by Niel Strauss. This peaked my interest, as it is so far a very entertaining read, but also gave me an insight into the world of PUAs; a world I know now I want to join. Recently I've been inspired by David DeAngelo's ManTransformation program; it has opened my eyes to a lot of new techniques not only for picking up women, but for everyday things I'd like to improve. Books are all fine and dandy for the theory, but hearing his voice tell me to man up and go for it really did push me to finally
do this.
I've been studying methods on and off for a few months now, but never commited myself to actually using them in practical situations. I feel now I'm ready to break down that barrier and use some material in the field, stop being a pussy, and just go for it. I know that nothing bad will come of this; I may stumble, but I will always learn from experience and improve.
Seeing as I haven't actually started using any yet, I can't comment much on this one, but I like the idea of using humour where possible, as I know it is one of my natural strongpoints. I briefly read a little of Ross Jeffries' speed seduction and I found some of the methods in there interesting, but I'm not convinced they would really work - feel free to convince me otherwise. Some stuff really made me say "ahhha" out loud was I was reading it.
My main hobbies/interests are;
Playing football (soccer) - this is usually just a knock around for fun with my mates.
I used to be actively involved in the Air Training Corps - I wanted to join the RAF, so I am quite into military stuff, fitness, trying new things, I even flew planes and used weaponry sometimes.
Hillwalking/mountain climbing - that general area. I like to rough it in the mountains for a couple days, every so often.
PC Games - Not WoW before you freak out, MMOs would destroy me. Mostly casual FPS so I can concentrate on schoolwork and my social life.
My goal in the longterm is to become a successful PUA (isn't that everyones here?), I want to be able to command social situations, attract who I want to, and remove troublesome cockblockers etc. Short term I want to learn a few basic, but effective sequences, then talior them as my own and use them in the field throughout the next month.
I'm going to convince a close buddy of mine to embark on this journey with me, and hopefully we can encourage eachother to keep trying, even when things are going bad. I hinted this to him earlier and he seems to be keen, but I have yet to reveal the underground world of pickup to him; I didn't want to drop him in it all at once, as I was quite astounded at first.
Any advice on where you think I should go from here would be helpful! Things like where I should go to meet women, what methods I should try out, etc. I'll have a read over the forums to get my head round the basics.
Thanks in advance everyone, it's nice to finally meet you all. I look forward to learning a lot of new things here, and hopefully helping other people when I'm experienced enough. Oh, sorry for the long-winded post, I got carried away with the excitement of it all.
