Hi all, I'm Tim from Australia. I'm sure nothing I have to say is overly unique or new, but I will put it out their just for the purpose of this introduction.
Since I was young I've been the super shy guy, according to stories there was no way you could convince me to even approach a counter to order food etc... I was also an elite athelete for many years, this involved training 20+ hours a week with a coach constantly yelling abuse at me; although unaware at the time, this made me begin to expect the worse out of people, and to be verbally abused if I did something wrong.

Fastforward to the present and I'm still that introverted guy that expects people to always be judging him. I do however love going out to pubs and clubs everyweekend, as I find dancing a way to almost escape the current constraints in my life.
Like everyone here (at some point), women frustrate me, I'am still extremely fit and go to the gym 4 -5 times a week; I' am also a distinction average student studying pharmacy at university. For some reason I thought this combination of intelligence and physical shape would get me women for sure! However, night after night I've tried to brush it off as being unlucky or whatever other excuse.

However I'am now taking steps forward. The biggest factor I've felt improvement in has been my inner game, I've revolutionized my way I thinking largely thanks to a few extremely well written posts on this forum. Tonight was my first night after having started this journey, I hit up the local pub with a good friend of mine.
I havn't let him on to this side of my life yet, but even he commented at the end of the night that he was blown out of the water by how many girls I got talking to and how confident and funny I was being. I definately feel as if I achieved my goal of minimizing approach anxiety.
On no conversations did I feel I was really able to create attraction, and thus ultimately didn't get any number or K-closes. But to me this was still a fantastic night compared to usual.

- Wow, this ended up being a lot longer then expected, much appreciation in advanced to anyone who actually reads it all.

Congrats on the progress.

Although I'm younger and you may not want to hear what I've got to say, I'll put it out there anyways.

It seems once you somewhat got out of your comfort zone and were being more of 'yourself' than just expecting them to come to you because of your assumingly desirable qualities you actually saw more success.

There's a difference between being a chick magnet, and attracting chicks. (not sure I worded that correctly)

Anyways, keep up the good work

Thanks for the advice, what you said makes sense. Congrats on finding these forums / the world of PUA at a younger age, I would do almost anything to go back to my highschool years knowing what I know now!

I'm in senior year and really wish I would have known about it earlier as well, but at least I can go to university with some more knowledge, aside from the jib-jab they teach in school
