To introduce myself, i'm a guy in my mid 20's and live in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. I'm very new to the whole PUA thing, but i have a bit of a background in the psychology of it. I haven't read "The Game" yet, but i read Robert Greene's "The Art of Seduction" a couple of years back & enjoyed it thoroughly, especially the sexual archetypes and the historical references. I'm not a bad looking guy and i pay close attention to my style & outward appearance. I surprise myself quite often at the caliber of women i'm able to pull when i'm in the right mindframe, and herein lies my problem. My confidence is very unstable- it varies wildly from "i'm king shit" to "i'm a pile of shit". I've got a lot of negative self-talk that, as best as i can figure, is left over from my childhood, and seems to kick in at the most inopportune (sp?) times. I lost my last girlfriend, one of the most beautiful and dynamic women i've ever met, because, a few months into the relationship, i start thinking i'm not good enough for her, and get into fear about losing her. Eventually my fear caused me to begin acting irrationally, and it became a sort of subconscious self-fulfilling prophecy. In any case, here i am, trying to take steps to improve my confidence and self image.
