| (I apologize in advance for the long post)
Hey guys, Im a good looking 19 year old guy and haven't studied this stuff much at all. My hobbies are just riding around town, playing ps3 and PC games, and I used to play High school football but unfortunately that has ended. Im currently attending a small college and plan on transfering to UGA or maybe Georgia Southern. There's some background info, now on with the problem.
Not to be cocky or over confident, but just to let you know who I am, Im a tall good looking guy, still toned even thought my workouts are rare due to classes and work. Anyways, My problem is that with my laid back personality I don't ever feel like I need to approach people and start conversations. As far as girls go, I always wait on them to come to me since I am an approachable good looking guy. But we all know girls are as prideful as we are so even great looking guys don't get approached all the time. Anyways, I have been working front desk at a big hotel for a few months now. To begin with, my social skills were weak and I got the job mostly due to looks since I am more of a 'reserved' type of guy. But I saw this as an opportunity to greatly improve my social skills OVERALL. Im not here just to improve my 'game' with women bc I have a girlfriend and Im fine with that. But my question is, What are some ways I can improve my 'game' but mostly overall social skills using my new job?
The great thing is that I already have value with the suite and all that. I have gotten significantly better at starting conversations with people whether it is a guy, little kid, or good looking woman. Now Im still stuck at what to talk about besides the usuals I use (where are you from? How is the weather there? How is your room?) basically stupid stuff. Also, as far as the touching goes, I don't think I will be using any of those techniques bc it comes off as unprofessional. Basically, the reason Im here is to greatly improve my social skills to be a better person and to help advance in the corporate world, getting better with girls is a plus too and will come easier with the new skills I learn here and apply at work. Any advice would be great and I apologize for the long post lol... Thanks in advance.
Id also like to add that Im trying to get to the point where my conversations just flow smooth like those of late night shows such as Letterman, O 'Brian, and I really like the guy off of Red Eye (Fox news late night comedy). Also, Im not trying to give myself the image of being a loser, Its not that. Im a likeable friendly guy but my conversations tend to not be very interesting and I get stuck on what to talk about if Im not in the mood to talk (most of the time). Im just a perfectionist at everything and I always try to improve things I do. Just thought I would add that little bit of info and thanks to anyone who gives advice and took the time to read!
