To be honest, I'll probably be doing more lurking and mulling over stuff rather than actively posting for awhile (as I'd rather have more of an honest clue about "how these things go" before I start tapping furiously away on my keyboard)--but, as per MPUAF protocols, here's my intro:

1. where you're located:

I'm a New York City native, born and raised.
I'm now currently living in "Lawn Guyland"...

2. your age:

I'm in my 30's. Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know.

3. how you got into "the game":

Well, after a damn nasty relationship went to hell some years back, and after I utterly blew some serious chances at dating a number of really pretty and smart women (who are now trusted and beloved friends...but **STILL**!), I recognized that I've been doing something quite wrong regarding how I handle my romantic life for quite awhile. Anyway, as a joke gift for a buddy of mine earlier this year, I bought Neil Strauss's books on Amazon (y'know, the old pimp/player line about how "The Game is to be sold, not told"? The guy's an Iceberg Slim fan, y'see)--and just for the hell of it, I bought a copy for myself. The rest of the story, you all can probably figure out...

4. how long you've been studying pickup:

Maybe the past few months? Been doing a lot of reading, listening to audiobooks/CDs, got some DVDs...it's all a bit academic and intellectual for me at the moment, but I'm in no rush. I'll be "infield" soon enough! :)

5. which pickup method(s):

I've been immersing myself in TMM/M3 methodologies for now, as that seems to be a foundational approach for a ton of folks in The Community (Neil Strauss/Style, included). I'm interested in TMM's concepts, but I'm also open to interpreting it broadly, as opposed to strictly. Inner Game-wise, I've added Hypnotica's stuff to my usual meditation practice, and I'm exploring NLP as a whole. I'm fascinated by the work and writings of Zan Perrion, Cameron Teone, Steve Piccus, and Johnny Soporno. Also, I've touched base with Miz Zip for some live coaching in the near future--and I'm very much looking forward to it!

6. what your hobbies/passions are:

Among other things, and in no particular order of importance: writing (mostly poetry and essays, but I've done a bit of fiction, and I used to be a journalist many moons ago; am also working on songwriting), reading broadly and deeply, training in combat-oriented martial arts/self-defense, kettlebell lifting/strength training, meditation (Zen/Vipassana), playing guitar (I wield a Gibson Les Paul/Mesa Boogie combo amp and a Gibson Hummingbird acoustic, if any of you are curious), listening to many different genres of music (with an admitted fondness for thrashing hardcore punk rock n' roll, gloomy post-punk/gothic sounds, and the immortal music of Motorhead and The Stooges, as Lemmy Kilminster and Iggy Pop are Freakin' Rawk Gawds), Film Noir/Samurai movies, yelling at my TV during UFC matches, pondering life, love, death, good and evil, enjoying and appreciating gorgeous, smart women, great conversation, great sex, fine wine and good whiskey, and just being a freakin' solid effin' dude overall.

6. what your goals are:

Overall, or here?
Overall, to live, love and die well.
All of this--hey, it's part of the journey!

7. ...and whatever back story you wish to share with us:

I think that's all, folks!
Cheers to all of ya! 8)
