After three long, painful bouts of one-itis over 3+ years, I've finally crawled my way out of that deadly pit and been introduced to the world of PUA theory. But I'm not a complete newbie. From each bad experience with girls and women, I've learned my own set of rules on how not to act and what not to say. It has been a horribly slow learning curve.

I recently escaped London to visit Spain and attend the great Benicassim festival. For the first two days I sat in my tent in anguish for hours at a time, angry and frustrated at myself and the latest unfortunate young lady to suffer my affliction. Thankfully, I did get over it and the following days were filled with the most self-affirming, exciting and enjoyable interactions with people (both male and female) I have ever experienced.

My companion on this trip also happened to bring a first edition copy of The Game. I'd read the introduction before then and, for the quality of writing more than anything, was compelled to read more. As I read, I nodded knowingly as many of the things I'd learned naturally over time were confirmed. I have no ambitions to be a PUA. But I appreciate this art far more than any damn 'relationship/dating advice' bullshit that circulates websites, magazines, newspapers and other media.

PUAs are like modern, male geisha's. Masters of the study of attraction (entertainment, suggestion, body language, reverse psychology). In relationships, ethics is important, but attraction is traditionally something more base and animalistic. You guys, like the geisha's, have dedicated your lives to rationalising this phenomenom.

I'm what I like to call a 'semi-natural'. I do attract some women without effort and I can win a girl over with my charm, charisma, outlook and lifestyle. But I have a few sticking points. While I'm sure these, like the others, will dissappear naturally over time as I mature and my experience grows, I would like to speed up the process.

I'll post my specific issues in the appropriate area. Meanwhile, I'll be known as Mega, 21, from London.
