With the language barrier, you might be better off with day game rather than sarging the clubs with the loud music and general chaos. The best way to get over (or at least reduce) that approach anxiety is to do a lot of approaches. Work on your voice tone and body language. Go for very short light approaches at first, with no other goal than saying hi to someone new, maybe exchange a few words, then move on.
You: Hey, do you know how to get to the Van Gogh museum?
HB: Go down that way and blah blah blah
You: Cool, I've never been there, do they have a good collection?
HB: Of course you idiot, now get away from me. Police, police!
You: Thanks, I think I'll be going now. Fast.
Just kidding. The fact is, most people are very friendly, especially if they feel like you're NOT trying to pick them up.
Good luck.
