I have been in this game since about 1998. I am 32 years old now. I have been learning from many sources over the years, and have a great admiration for many of you. I feel it is now my turn to start giving back to this great community, and hopefully I will continue to keep on learning from all of you as well.

A little about me:
I am a massage therapist, and ware several other hats as well, but massage therapy, I am most proud of.
I live in the western part of NY State just south of Buffalo. I got in to this game almost by accident. I have a great love of social interaction, and people in general.

I really became aware of the power of personality, and certain interactions with women at about the age of 15 or 16. My best friend was really interested in a girl, and had already asked her out. Unintentionally, I ruined this for him. Something I have never fully forgiven myself for, but something he has never mentioned.
Without being aware of the power of the actions I was taking, I seduced her right out from under him just by being playful, picking on her, and breaking the touch barrier almost immediately.
Everyone in this community knows about these interactions as being just the basics, but to an unsocialized teenager, it was confusing, and magical. I later discovered that others were sharing information about this type of interaction, and breaking it down into named behaviors and patterns. I was hooked! I also discovered invaluable resources such as Dale Carnegie, and many of the great PUA gurus that we all know, and love.
My nick name comes from something I was earlier annoyed by, but later came to accept. The chick flick "Cruel Intentions" became popular around my senior year in High school. Like any other self respecting guy that age, I was completely unaware of the contents, or even names of any of those cheesy movies that were so popular with the girls.
It turns out that I have an uncanny resemblance to the actor Ryan Phillippe. In retrospect, this is not such a bad thing, but the first few years I was aware of it, I was greatly annoyed.
Long story, short... My new hobby, coupled with my resemblance to a certain fictional character, "Valmont" was born. Upon signing up for a membership in this forum, I discovered the name was already in use, so I had to adopt a slightly longer version of the name. I hope to become acquainted with the other Valmont on here, along with all of you other fine gentlemen.

Hey Valmont,

welcome!

I'm also in the Buffalo area.

About ruining your friends chances, there's a possibility he may have not gotten anywhere with her. You should forgive yourself for that regardless. Unnecessary Baggage. Apologize to him directly or in spirit and move on, you will thank yourself for forgiving yourself.

I'm training two new wings in Ellicottville. It would be great to have another PUA to sarge with, and show the newbs how this game is run. If you ever make it down that way, we should meet up.
